Invitation to host the 17^th EPEA Conference 2019

Every 2 years, the EPEA holds its International Conference in a different European country so that members and non-members can come together to explore topical issues; experience new approaches and innovations, and highlight good practice in the field of prison education.

The EPEA Steering Committee is beginning to plan for the 17^th International EPEA Conference to be held in 2019, and is inviting organisations, agencies or institutions interested in hosting this conference to contact us.

The benefits of hosting the conference are many.  In addition to enhancing the international reputation of the host organisation, it provides an opportunity to showcase new developments and innovations, to forge international links, and to help shape the future development of prison education across Europe and beyond.

If you are considering hosting the next conference and would like more information, please contact the EPEA Chairperson, Annet Bakker.  She will explain what is involved in hosting an EPEA conference and provide guidelines on how to make a successful conference bid.

What next?

1. If you are interested in hosting the next conference, please contact Chairperson Annet Bakker at epea@epea.org for further information.
2. Submit a formal bid by the 31st March 2018, according to the guidelines and the information provided by the Chairperson.
3. The EPEA Steering Committee will reach a decision on the successful applicant by the 30^th April, and all applicants will be notified before the 1^th May 2018.
