Wanted : Open Learning Centre for Research Project
Social Studies student Mirna Ubaghs at the Fontys University of Applied Sciences Social Studies will graduate this year (2015/2016). In this context Mirna would like to perform a final research project, focusing on detention and reintegration. Last year she choose to explore beyond healthcare, and started as an intern case-manager at the detention center in Sittard. Here, she supported detainees during their reintegration.
“During my internship I found out that my interest involve stimulating the personal responsibility of a prisoner, and contributing to this process.”
This is the reason why Mirna wants to perform her final research project on Open Learning Centre in detention (OLC).
“For my research I’m looking for an open learning center in the Netherlands or abroad, which focuses on a low education level. I like to visit the OLC to get more information, and take open interview(s) with employer(s) at the OLC. I’ll start taking the interviews in week 13, this is the last week of March. If you are interested in my research, please let me know as soon as possible and at least before 14th of March.”
