CPT Annual Report address Bulgaria and Lifetime prisoners

In the annual report from 2015 the Centre for Prevention of Turture address two issues of education of prisoners. The mention Bulgaria and Lifetime prisoners

Bulgaria:

“The CPT urges the Bulgarian authorities to intensify their efforts to develop the programme of activities for both sentenced and remand prisoners, notably as regards work, educational and vocational activities”

Lifetime prisoner

“In many countries, lifesentenced prisoners were usually held together with other sentenced prisoners and benefited from the same rights in terms of regime (work, education and recreational activities) and contact with the outside world as other sentenced prisoners”
