The ‘Movable Barres’ project followed on from two other European-funded initiatives: the ‘PAN European Network’, promoting prison arts in general across Europe, and ‘The Will to Dream’, encouraging the use of theatre and video in offender learning. This music and dance initiative included
some partners already involved in previous projects and some new ones, including both those directly engaged in prison education and professional music and dance groups who often work with prisoners.
