The Criminal Justice Alliance (http://www.criminaljusticealliance.org.uk @cjalliance) sits on the Transition to Adulthood Alliance advice group. They are looking to gather up to date international examples of similar work.
To support the UK Government’s work with young adults in the criminal justice system, the Transition to Adulthood Alliance would like to create a summary of international examples of developmentally appropriate practice for young adults in the criminal justice system. We are keen to get an up-to-date picture of how justice systems are taking account of neuroscientific evidence on the development of maturity amongst 18-25 year olds both in legislation and in operational practice. Please would you send examples of legislative provision, practice, or programmes for young adults that you are aware of, at any stage of the justice system – preferably with some indication of their impact – to firstname.lastname@example.org. We look forward to hearing from you.
