We present you with the leaflet that the UTE has distributed for the inmates of the penitentiary centre to attend their string-figures workshop:

Pedro, in charge of the workshop, is a craftsman in the elaboration of thread figures. Thousands of threads of different colours are glued, with patience, individually, on a base to create these pictures. 

The Prison’s craft workshops are a tool that provides entertainment, learning, and allows the prisoner’s time deprived of liberty to be channeled into something positive.

It is an excellent therapeutic and educational tool that promotes both individual and collective work and social reintegration.

You’ll learn how to make a variety of wet-paper knick-knacks that look like real objects, beautiful works of marquetry such as doll’s houses, bird cages, beautiful watercolour and oil paintings… 

Time, patience and the desire to do things well mean that the works that come out of the workshop are authentic works of art, worthy of the best shop window in a shop selling handicrafts, design and crafts. At the UTE the two people in charge of the Crafts Workshop, Pedro and Miguel, are waiting for you with open arms. They will introduce you to the different craft techniques, marquetry, drawing, etc. so that with their help you can become a real artist. 


El taller de la UTE Os presentamos el folleto que la UTE ha distribuido para que los internos del centro acudan a su taller de figuras de hilo:

Pedro, responsable del taller, es un artesano de la elaboración de figuras de hilo. Miles de hilos de diferentes colores se pegan, con paciencia, de forma individual, sobre una base para crear estos cuadros.  Los talleres artesanales de la Prisión son una herramienta que aporta entretenimiento, aprendizaje y permite encauzar el tiempo privado de libertad en algo positivo.

Se constituye en un excelente instrumento terapéutico y formativo que propicia el trabajo tanto individual como colectivo y la reinserción social.

Pedro, responsable del Taller de la UTE te ayudará a ocupar tu tiempo en el módulo enseñándote a confeccionar figuras de hilo muy resultonas, cachivaches

diversos realizados con la técnica del papel mojado que parecen objetos reales, resultonas obras de marquetería como casitas de muñecas, jaulas de pájaro, bonitos cuadros de acuarelas y óleos… 

El tiempo, la paciencia y las ganas de hacer bien las cosas, propician que las obras que salen del Taller sean auténticas obras de arte, dignas del mejor escaparate de una tienda de venta de manualidades, diseño y artesanía. En la UTE te esperan con los brazos abiertos los dos responsables del Taller de Manualidades, Pedro y Miguel, que te iniciarán en las diferentes técnicas de artesanía, marquetería, dibujo, etc. para que llegues a ser con su ayuda todo un artista.
