Treasurer & Representative for the Eastern Region
Would you like an active role in the Steering Committee of the EPEA?
The EPEA Steering Committee is presently looking for EPEA members who can replace:
- the current Treasurer, Nyggi Aggernaes, who has asked to leave office before the next elections.
- Our Eastern Regional Representative, Ms Ioana Morar, who will be at the end of her second term by June 2019
The Treasurer has a key role in the wellbeing of our organisation. This is why we are looking for serious candidates who are experienced in handling finances. He or she will watch over our finances and ensure a sensible use of our collective money.
The Regional Representative is our first contact for all queries within the region. It should be a member from the region who has an aspiration to be more actively involved in EPEA activities and who also wants to promote EPEA in the region, build upon existing connections to the professional prison education world and initiate new partnerships. Both Steering Committee posts are voluntary jobs, so payment is only done in enriched experience and the building of new friendships. But they are equally good opportunities to get a better insight into the EPEA, to get the possibility to travel internationally, to attend the EPEA Conference (Dublin 2019) and to participate in EPEA Steering Committee meetings.
