FOKO, the Norwegian branch of EPEA, The County Governor of Vestland and the EPEA are very happy to invite you to this year’s EPEA conference at the Hotel Klubben, Tønsberg, Norway (https://www.hotelklubben.no/). The hotel will facilitate plenary sessions, workshops, lunch, most of the dinners, and accommodations.
Conference dates: 13 -17 June 2023.

Conference participants are invited to a variety of topics and research fields. There are spaces to participate in debates, workshops, and other events. In the program there will also be opportunities to choose among different prison and “follow up class” visits.

Motivation to learn for youngsters.

There are several options to make for cultural events during the conference.
June, in this area of Norway, is preferable for several reasons. The summer has started, and we can be surprised with good warm weather. There is no midnight sun, but in good weather, it will not get dark during the night.
Means of transportation:
The nearest airport is approx. 20 min bus ride from the Venue (Sandefjord Airport, Torp, https://www.torp.no/en/frontpage/?lang=en_GB). This airport connects to some main cities in Europe.
We also have Norway’s main airport, Oslo Airport, Gardermoen, approx 1 ½ hours train ride from Tønsberg.

And at last there is an Airport near Kristiansand, Kjevik airport, approx 5 hours bus/train ride from Tønsberg. (https://avinor.no/flyplass/kristiansand/). This airport connects to Copenhagen and possibly Amsterdam.

This conference fee includes full conference program and facilities, dinner Tuesday 13.06, transport to prisons Wednesday, lunch and dinner Wednesday 14.06, lunch Thursday 15.06, lunch and conference dinner Friday 16.06, lunch Saturday 17.06.
