The International Corrections and Prisons Association [ICPA] and the European Organisation of Prison and Correctional Services [Europris] organise the Global Corrections Digital technology Conference – Technology in Corrections in Lisbon, Portugal on 2 – 4 April 2019.

The following key aspects will be addressed:

1. Finding an equilibrium of efficiency, security and rehabilitation – presenters are asked to present ideas where technology plays a central role to address all three aspects in a balanced way
2. Evidence based – the public sector, researchers and private sector companies are asked to share technology solutions and/or project approaches that have included: a. extended pre- and post-evaluation procedures, b. methodologies with different actors involved, c. mechanisms and collaboration with researchers, d. technology such as Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence and/or d. new approaches to help become better learners
3. Looking over the wall – the public sector, researchers and private sector companies are asked to share innovative technology solutions and/or project approaches that successfully bring ideas and products from other sectors into our domain.

People from all different backgrounds (public, private, academic or NGO) are invited to send in their solutions for presenting them at this event. Abstracts will be selected based on their quality and certain criteria.
