On 17 September 2015 literacy organisations from across Europe and stakeholders from the field will mark the closing of Literacy Week (8-17 September) during an event in Brussels.
The event aims to encourage those already working on improving literacy levels in Europe to continue their efforts, and to inspire policy-makers and other influencers to make this a priority issue. The programme features speeches by high-level guests, discussions with experts, and the award ceremony for the Literacy Week Innovation Award. (see attached programme)
The audience of around 150 guests will consist of EU level politicians and policy-makers, EU and national stakeholders, prominent practitioners at national and local level, and academic experts.
