Ana Ferrando is reelected to the Steering Committe for a second and last term until January 2027
Ana was elected as Regional Representative of the Western region for the first time in 2020. For almost four years she was also co-editor of EPEA’s newsletter. Ten years ago, she started teaching languages in Flemish prisons and later she became a pedagogical coach for teachers in prison. This was after participating in some Erasmus+ projects such as IOWA from 2017 to 2019 (Innovating Ways of Teaching in Prison) in and M-TIPE from 2013 to 2015 (Mentoring Teachers in Prison Education). Moreover, she is a member of Klasbak, the Flemish Branch of the EPEA, and has cooperated with its management board in establishing a network of teachers in prison and its new policy plan. In addition, Ana is an active member of avanzo, an NGO based in Belgium, which offers online cooking workshops as a means of intercultural exchange and for building up intercultural competencies.
